Adelaide was 27 and gave her father as WILLIAM HORNSBY, George was 32 and gave his father as EDWARD OFFEN (and not EDWIN) (source : BVRI 2nd edition). She was born circa 1854 in Ramsgate, Kent (source : 1881 census) or 1853 in France (source : 1891 census).

On the 1881 census, George, a 31-year-old carter, his wife Adelaide (27) and five of their children all show up at 3 Albion Street in Hastings, Sussex. On the 1891 census, George (42, carter - employee), his wife Adelaide (38) and five of their children all show up at 8 Testers Cottages, Christ Church Ore, Sussex.

On the 1891 census, William C, aged 13, place of birth given as London, appears with the rest of his family at 8 Testers Cottages, Christ Church Ore, Sussex. The FreeCen transcription gives his name as William C TURNER, but this may just be a mistake.
